As the sun rises from the sky the light creeps up from my curtains waking me up for the day.
I slowly sat up and opened my eyes looking at my window to see that it was morning.
I slowly got off my bed and walked to the bathroom doing my morning routine of washing my face with soap for my face.
Then I brushed my teeth for two minutes straight. After I did my wudu before going back to my room and changing into a long dress and putting my scarf around my head to pray my namaz.
After praying I tidied the prayer mat and removed my scarf and changed into my clothes for the day. I wore a smart cropped blazer and a blouse underneath with a pair of trousers.
Then I did my skincare routine and headed down the stairs to have a bowl of cereal for breakfast and a matcha tea as my drink for the start of the day.
Later, I had my breakfast and washed all of my dishes and I went back upstairs to my room to do my makeup and hair for the day and added jewelry on myself to complete my look with some perfume.
I checked my bag one last time before adding my hand cream inside. Then I zipped my backpack and got the folder for one of my lessons.
I walked back downstairs and collected my jacket from the hanging, then I put my jacket on as it was a little chilly in London today. I put my backpack on and hold my folder in one of my hands, putting my shoes on and closing the door making sure it’s locked, before going to school.
It took me fifteen minutes by walking to get to the campus I needed to be at.
I went inside with my ID around my neck. I headed to the classroom which was on the ground floor.
As I entered the classroom a smile formed on my lips as I saw my best friend Maya who I have only been friends with for just a year and is one year younger than me. She is 18 years old but other than that we have been very close since day one.
I walked to the table where she was and took a seat on a chair, "Hi Maya, how are you?” I said.
Maya looked up and smiled back "Hey Kriti, I am good and you?" she replied.
“Good, thanks. How do you feel as today is our last day" I replied back.
"I am feeling excited but sad. I am kinda going to miss this. What about you?" she said.
"I feel the same way" I replied after a sigh escaped my lips. "Is something wrong Ki?" she asked as she raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, I am fine. I just have a lot on my mind right now like for example my dad saying no to the college I want to go to this time and what is to come I am worried about my future Mai“ I replied honestly.
Maya smiled gently with understanding in her eyes "it's normal, I understand I know it isn't easy with your dad and I understand what you mean, I also have a lot on my mind but we will be okay. You got this! I believe in you!"
I smiled back at her grateful "Thank you Mai! I hope the same for you! I am so lucky to have you in my life. I don't know how I got this lucky. Maya smiled and nodded.
Then our teacher came up to us to discuss what we need to do before we are dismissed to leave forever.. Our teacher Mrs Rose gave us a few papers each to sign before we could leave so they could submit our exams to get marked by the examiners. I read each sheet carefully before signing them off with my signature.
After that, Maya and I went to the shops to celebrate by shopping and chatting. We both bought a bubble tea each and looked around the mall.
When I was looking around I saw these beautiful jhumkas I must have so I dragged my best friend to the shop and brought the jhumkas. "I am in love with these!" I said with a big smile on my face.
Maya laughs "of course you do, these are your favorites after all" she replied.
I laughed too "You know me too well bestie" I said back.
After shopping with Maya and having a blast, After an hour I had to go home and the thought of going back home made the
smile on my face disappear...
